Rick, Scott, Brien and I took a road trip up to Sonoma on 7/9/05 in Scott's blue Mini. What a great trip! Next time Rick and I will have to drive our Minis up and have a Mini roadtrip!

We went to Wilson Winery, Passalacqua, Quivira, Ridge and Trentadue.

Wilson was our picnic spot.

Passalacqua had some good zins.

Quivira had a good 2004 Mourvèdre Rosé, very nice for a summer day BBQ. Unfortunately they ran out, just wanted to tease us. They also had a rhone style wine called Steelhead Red that was delicious. http://www.quivirawine.com/wines.html

Ridge had a few nice wines too. They are more know for their reds but had a wonderful chardonnay that was different than any other that I have had. It was high on the acid level but well balanced with nutty flavors. Not too rich and buttery that seems to be common among some other California chards.

Trentadue has some nice ports especially a viognier port. http://www.trentadue.com/

On the way back we stopped in San Rafael's A&W and had rootbeer floats and cheese curds. We took some picture at the vista point above the Golden Gate bridge and ended up at Park Chows for dinner. Long day!
