Inca Kola is a soda that's more popular than Coca Cola in Peru. It is a bright yellow liquid that has a tutti fuity taste. It kinda grew on me. Something I found out later on the trip was that Coca Cola eventually bought Inca Kola! Talk about getting rid of your competition! I also found out that the bottled water that I was drinking was bottled by...guess who? Yup, Coca Cola!

Elika, yes I did! I had some when I got there to. My hotel offered it to me to help combat the altitude sickness. I bought some to take home too.
I got sick midway through the trip and I started chewing the coca leaves which really helped with the queasiness. i ended up chewing quite a bit of it!

you know Gordon, you can get Inca Cola on Mission street. I think any of the latino markets would have it. they only come in the 2 liter bottles though. I love that stuff. I haven't had it in a few years. haha so bad for you too.
